Bei der Nachbildung eines verlorenen Körperteils stehen wir in engem Kontakt zum Kunden während der gesamten Produktionsphase. Wir orientieren uns bei der Rekonstruktion am Aussehen der gegenseitigen Hand. Fingerabdrücke, Färbung der Nägel, und Leberflecke werde reproduziert.
The finger prostheses can be attached in several ways and will probably vary from one case to another. The most frequent application method is suction: when placing the prosthesis over the stump a light vacuum is formed between the silicon and the skin, keeping the prosthesis in place without fear of loosening during daily use or when shaking hands with someone else. In case of total loss of the thumb, an articulating Titanium mechanism can be placed with an implant to recover the functionality of the hand. Fingerprothesen werden am amputierten Stumpf mittels Saugkraft festgehalten. Zwischen dem Stumpf und dem Plastikfilm entsteht ein Vakuum, das die Loslösung der Prothese verhindert, auch wenn an dieser gezogen wird. Zum Abnehmen der Prothese führt man seitlich Luft ein.
Das Tragen von Ringen ist vorteilhaft beim Verstecken des Übergangs vom Stumpf zur Prothese, außerdem hilft das Anbringen Wundband wie z.B. Micropore.
